Need a momentary getaway? Check out the view of this 22-year-old prairie restoration site

Kestango1 | August 18, 2010  |  Huffman Prairie is a tallgrass prairie on Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio. It is adjacent to the historic Huffman Prairie Flying Field where the Wright Brothers perfected their flying machines starting in 1905. This site, a designated Ohio Natural Landmark, has been the focus of a prairie restoration effort conducted by the Base, Five Rivers MetroParks, and The Nature Conservancy since 1988.
