Pull over for the Wisconsin weed police

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources now has the authority to pull over drivers towing a boat or boat trailer displaying any evidence of lake weeds or other aquatic life in order to arrest the spread of invasive plants and animals. If invasives such as Eurasian Watermilfoil or Zebra Mussels are found attached to any equipment, a first-citation penalty of $232 to $767 will be issued. A second offense within three years could result in a fine of up to a $2,657. Read more here.
