Commission asks local, county, state road crews to reduce mowing and promote natives

The New Jersey Pinelands Commission has issued a set of guidelines reflecting a change in roadside management practices. Representing the interests of the million-acre Pinelands National Reserve, the commission is asking county governments to sign memorandums of agreements to comply with the practices in order to protect native vegetation along highways and streets.
