Insect eaters eat leaf eaters; fewer leaf eaters means more leaves


… and therefore, insect eaters help control climate by encouraging an overall greater plant presence. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has published the results of a study that counts the benefits of insectivorous wildlife in controlling leaf eaters (who are most often the larval stage of flying insects) who would otherwise deduct from the vegetation which affects the fate of our climate.
