Trees exhumed from bog may reveal 30,000-year-old climate history

An examination of the tree rings of ancient Kauri trees (Agathis australis) may fill in missing details about Earth’s climate data record. Preserved specimens, some of which may have lived as long as 2,000 years, have been retrieved from New Zealand peat bogs and are being scrutinized at Oxford University in England. Read more here.
