April 10: NWF program presented in Valhalla, N.Y.

A morning with the National Wildlife Federation will take place at Westchester Community College’s Native Plant Center, Valhalla, N.Y., April 10, 2010, from 10 a.m. until to 1 p.m.

Naturalist David Mizejewski, a federation spokesman, will present Designing a Wildlife Garden for the Home Landscape, showing how to create a beautiful, nature-friendly landscape. The NWF will also staff an information table to answer native landscape questions and will distribute an array of educational publications. Landscape professionals note: This program has been approved under the guidelines of the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System as eligible for three professional development hour credits. The registration fees are $30 for non-members, $25 for members of the Native Plant Center, $50 for professional development hours.
